The “Lovell Health House” in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles was designed by architect Richard Neutra for physician and naturopath Philip M.Lovell in 1929. It is considered a major monument of international style and architectural history in Southern California, and a turning point in Neutra's career.

Phillip Lovell was a health & lifestyle conscious person. He wanted a healthy, modern family home where he could fulfill his healthy regime in comfort where the function of the house fits around its form. Neutra is said to have interviewed the whole Lovell family, even their chef to understand & meet the needs of the entire house!
